Improving hospitality standards


JOHOR BARU: Tourism and Hospitality undergraduates in selected universities will soon have to undergo a two-year attachment with hotels to allow for a wholesome learning experience that will help them be truly work-ready upon graduation.

Deputy Higher Education Minister Datuk Mary Yap Kain Ching said the new work-based initiative would be undertaken by a public university and five polytechnics, including Politeknik Ibrahim Sultan (PIS) in Johor.
