THE small Bandar Perda township in Bukit Mertajam, Penang, came alive as a large crowd thronged the state-level National Day celebrations to witness a colourful parade in conjunction with the country’s 58th Independence Day.
The ceremony began with Yang di-Pertua Negri Tun Abdul Rahman Abbas inspecting the guard-of-honour.
