Work on EKVE scheduled to commence next month


A jam-packed MRR2 is a normal sight on a working day. Residents are worried that the EKVE will compound traffic congestion here as it is an arterial road.

Ground works for the controversial East Klang Valley Expressway (EKVE) project is expected to begin on Sept 1, despite objections from concerned residents and environmental groups.

Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) president Abdul Hamid Hussain said the project proponent, Ahmad Zaki Resources Bhd (AZRB), had been given the go-ahead to start work on the highway.
