Effective Oct 1: Motorists who park outside designated parking lots on Penang island will have to pay a RM50 compound.
AFTER much hue and cry by motorists over the RM100 compound rate announced by the Penang Island City Council (MBPP) for illegal parking, the fine has now been reduced to RM50.
MBPP Financial Management Committee alternate chairman Joseph Ng said the new rate would come into force on Oct 1.
