Traders at Medan Niaga Satok in Kuching yesterday with AnakAnakMalaysia wristbands and the Jalur Gemilang. The wristbands is a collaboration between Eco World Development Group Bhd (EcoWorld) and Star Media Group Bhd (formerly known as Star Publications (M) Bhd) in the lead up to Aug 31, which is Merdeka Day, and Sept 16, Malaysia Day. Rabaie Suhaili, 52, who owns a popular Malay, Chinese and Indian cuisine restaurant nearby said his wish was for greater harmony among Malaysians. In Sarawak we have a lot of freedom. We mingle with one another freely. My grandfather is Chinese. My restaurant workers are a mix of Malays, Bidayuhs and Ibans. I like to see my grandchildren grow up with the same kind of freedom, Rabaie said.(From left) Hartinah Abdullah, Nur Shahirah Sajidah Mazlan and Mohammad Zuraimy Mohammad Jahawi showing AnakAnakMalaysia wristbands .
