KUCHING: Season two of Pensonic’s “Chef’s Like” cooking show featuring Datuk Haji Ismail from TV3 took place in the state capital last Sunday.
Hundreds attended the celebrity cooking class at Imperial Hotel Kuching. It was the first time the show had been brought to east Malaysia, having kicked off in Kuala Lumpur earlier this month. The celebrity chef has also taken his show to Kota Baru, Malacca, and next Saturday, he will be at Penang.
“The cooking class in Kuching was so well attended. We were pleasantly surprised. Chef Ismail was more than happy to share with participants what it takes to make his versions of mouthwatering local favourites – all using Pensonic appliances,” said the company’s executive director, Nelson Chew.
“Chef Ismail was obviously enjoying his time here. He was passionate about his craft but at the same time joking all the time with the audience. He showed everyone how to turn any boring cooking task into fun experiences.”
The company’s appliance line-up include mixers, inductions cookers, steamers, breadmakers, among others.
Chef Ismail, a Negeri Sembilan native, is a well-known Malaysian food ambassador. He is often featured on both local and foreign cooking demonstrations.
