MALAYSIANS waste 8,000 tonnes of food annually, said Penang Welfare, Caring Society and Environment Committee chairman Phee Boon Poh.

“There needs to be a new culture of appreciation and responsibility, a culture devoid of greed,” he said during a ceremony to give out prizes to winners of the ‘Makan Sampai Habis’ campaign poster drawing competition.
