SIBU: The police here had followed the standard operating procedure (SOP) when investigating a businessman for allegedly owning a Twitter account which had incited the people of Sarawak to get the state to secede from Malaysia.

District police chief ACP Mohd Kamal Kordi told reporters after witnessing the handing over of duty ceremony yesterday that in investigating the man at his home in Kalan Kampung Nangka on July 14, they had not gone overboard but strictly followed the SOP just like investigating in any other case.
