The association, established in 1996, is the first non-profit organisation in South-East Asia that provides rehabilitation and support to stroke survivors and their families.
Its mission is to inform the public that there is life after a stroke through proper rehabilitation and to promote stroke prevention.
A stroke may be caused by a blocked artery or the leaking or bursting of a blood vessel.
The best way to prevent stroke is to eat a healthy diet, avoid smoking and drinking too much alcohol, and exercise regularly.
