Flood under control at several areas due to low tide

Residents in Jalan P. Ramlee, accompanied by Civil Defence Department officers, leaving their houses as the water level rises.

THE impact of the flash flood that hit parts of the island on Monday night was minimised because of the low tide.

According to a statement from the Drainage and Irrigation Department (DID) Northeast district engineering office, an average of 51mm to 61.5mm rainfall was recorded from 12.30pm on Monday to 3.45am yesterday.
