WEVENTS, a women-only networking group, will be celebrating its fifth anniversary on Aug 14 at the Armada Hotel in Petaling Jaya.
This year’s event promises to be an entertaining affair with fresh new activities planned for the ladies.
“We chose the theme ‘Red’ for this anniversary event because we want attendees to express themselves freely with the passion and vigour that the colour red symbolises,” said WEVents founder Jeanisha Wan.
To give this year’s event a new twist, for the first time, a “bachelor” will be making an appearance at the all-women event.
Instead of the talent contests and performances that had been the main attraction of the past events, this year’s celebration will feature a performance by pole dancers from Viva Vertical Dance Studio and a message from the president of the women bikers club, Desmodonna Malaysia, on passion and what it takes to pursue one’s dreams.
Everyone attending the event is encouraged to come in red attire as part of the Red Queen contest. The splash of red can be in the form of accessories, dress, shoes or even hair.
Ten of the best and most creatively dressed attendees will be selected by a panel of judges and the top three winners – a Red Queen and two Red Princesses – will win over RM3,300 worth of prizes.
The lady crowned the “Red Queen” will win prizes worth RM1,400, including an Alcatel OneTouch Idol X+ smartphone.
Regular attendees know that when it comes to WEVents, the door gifts alone are worth the price of admission. They will also stand a chance to win over RM1,000 worth of lucky draw prizes sponsored by Spa Ceylon, Worthy Book and NuttyCoco.
“WEVents was founded on passion in the first place, so in this anniversary event we hope everyone who attends will experience that with the activities we have lined up.
“I am also looking forward to see both new and regular faces of WEVents joining us for that night.” said Wan.
Registration closes on July 31. The event is only for working women.
