RM600,000 needed to organise cultural festival

SIBU: Sibu Municipal Council (SMC) requires at least RM600,000 to organise the annual Borneo Cultural Festival from July 30 to Aug 8.

“We require a large funding annually for the BCF. A large part of the funds is from the corporate sector which donates voluntarily as part of corporate social responsibility,” chairman Datuk Tiong Thai King said after receiving a donation of RM5,000 from ENE (East Malaysia) Sdn Bhd for the BCF.
