IN LINE with its “Nostalgic Raya” celebrations, the Mines Shopping Centre paid tribute to a well-loved fabric among Malaysians – the batik – by organising its very own DIY Batik Competition.
The contest was open for registration in mid-June, culminating in a showdown at the mall’s centre court with 12 groups of contestants comprising families strutting it out on stage with their creative batik-inspired designs.
