KUCHING: A senior Sarawak minister has admitted that the state has not done a good enough job when relocating people affected by its mega dams.

Land Development Minister Tan Sri Dr James Masing said rural people’s sacrifices had not been repaid. Of late, the Parti Rakyat Sarawak president has gone on record criticising the state over water supply woes faced by Sungai Asap villagers, which is a Bakun dam resettlement.
