Committee formed to hunt down hill clearing culprits

THE Penang government believes that there are other illegal clearing works being conducted in Teluk Bahang and a committee has been formed to track down the perpetrators.

The committee headed by State Secretary Datuk Farizan Darus was formed last week after reports in the media about the illegal clearing in Bukit Laksamana, a water catchment area for the Teluk Bahang Dam.
