THE SimplySiti Di Hati campaign returns with the same vision this year to fulfil the wishes of young patients of the National Heart Institute (IJN) Foundation to live healthy and positive lives.

Held for the fifth year, cosmetic brand SimplySiti’s corporate social responsibility campaign aims to raise funds for children in need of treatment for serious and life-threatening heart conditions.

SimplySiti Sdn Bhd president Datuk Siti Nurhaliza expressed her wish for children to lead happier and healthier lives.

“The smiles on these children’s faces is something money cannot buy and I want them to live life to the fullest like any other child.

“Inspired by the foundation’s objective, I want to help them realise their mission and help more heart patients,” said Siti at a press conference.

IJN Foundation is a non-profit organisation that provides financial assistance for the cost of surgery for needy heart patients at the institute.

Through SimplySiti Di Hati’s partnership with IJN, Watsons and Connexion@Nexus, the campaign – running throughout June – is donating 5% of RM100 purchases of SimplySiti products at Watsons outlets nationwide to three children under IJN Foundation’s Patient Assistance Programme.

These children are Siti Nur Ain Mohd Sukri, four, Tan Kai En, five, and Somroot Ijom, seven.

Somroot, the youngest of three siblings, is scheduled for his surgery in August for a heart valve replacement.

“I’m a little scared about the surgery but I can’t wait to become stronger as I want to be a policeman when I grow up and chase after bad guys,” said Somroot.

The SimplySiti campaign previously assisted eight children with their surgery costs and this year, the cosmetic line hopes to raise RM50,000 for Siti Nur Ain, Kai En and Somroot.

“You don’t need a lot of money to help the needy. A little contribution from everyone goes a long way,” said Siti.
