Flood relief project swarmed with issues

Deep indiscussion: (From right) Chow, Yap, Cheah and Md Rozi looking at the draft plan of the RM6mil floodmitigation system for Jalan Transfer and part of Hutton Lane during a site visit.

THE RM6mil flood mitigation project in Jalan Transfer and its surrounding areas, which was supposed to have started in April, is delayed as the underground utilities have to be shifted first before work can begin.

Water pipes, telephone lines and electric cables were found from the junction of Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah to the final outfall at sea opposite Jalan Transfer.
