FREELANCE photographer Kevin Ooi took nearly 6,000 shots of the last two Thaipusam festivals in his attempt to get to the heart of the celebration.
The 33-year-old believes that Thaipusam has over the years become commercialised, attracting tourists from all over the world with its carnival atmosphere.
