SIBU: Pelagus assemblyman George Lagong is critical but stable after a surgery for blood clot following a freak accident.
A relative told Sarawak Metro yesterday that doctors at Sibu Hospital performed the surgery at about 11pm on Sunday.
“His condition is stable after the surgery. We will wait for three to four days to see if he can be discharged from the ICU,” he added.
George, 54, was driving his four-wheel drive with his family to Sibu from Sebangkoi area in Sarikei at about 3pm Sunday when he lost control of the vehicle.
His wife and a son had outpatient treatment at Sarikei Hospital, while another son escaped unhurt. – By ANDY CHUA
