THE Sungai Pinang Phase II flood mitigation project in Penang is set to begin this year after the Federal Government has allocated RM450mil for the state under the 11th Malaysia Plan.
Under the ‘River of Life’ project, the state was earlier given RM150mil for the widening and deepening of a stretch of the river.
