PISCO BAR on the JalanMesui stretch off the Changkat Bukit Bintang area gets busy this weekend with some very special events and appearances.
Tonight, it’s OOF CINEMIX from 10.30pm. Oof is a DJ-director, who has directed some 50 music videos of found footage movies (Cinéclips) where he synchs music image and sounds.
As a French pioneer of DVJ shows, he’s given about 400 audiovisual concerts abroad in the best museums, film and music festivals since 2003.
Oof writes electro-dreamy-pop music and has produced over ten mixtapes since 1992, his eclectic Dj-sets are a collision of electro and psych rock or Afro-Latin soul and hiphop anthems, fitting every dancefloor, even the less advised ears of the Cannes film festival he’s doing every year.(Cover Charge RM 20)
Tomorrow, Thai DJ queen Nakadia is back by popular demand. Asia’s rising star of the DJ community has played more than 800 gigs across 54 countries and made herself a name as one of the very few globally successful females in electronic music.
Nakadia is a unique performer and her sets are filled with life, joy and excitement.
Start early in the evening before Nakadia hits the decks with Sex Panthers Playhouse from 10.30pm.
The Panther wants to take you along on wild uninhibited ride through his substantially largehouse music box of goodies.
