Residents get 10-year-old rubbish bins replaced

THE Taman Abidin flats in George Town will finally get its six leaky, old rubbish bins replaced.

State Housing, Town and Country Planning Committee chairman Jagdeep Singh Deo, who is also Datuk Keramat assemblyman, gave the residents there a new 660-litre bin and said the remaining five replacement bins would be delivered some time in the future.

Nusantara Residents Association vice-chairman Abdul Ravul Abdul Majeed, 59, said the old bins had been in use for more than 10 years.
