MIRI: The state government is sympathetic to the plight of those who will have to be relocated to make way for the mega Baram Dam but the project will transform the socio-economic future of the entire region, says state assemblyman for Telang Usan Dennis Ngau.
Ngau, who is Barisan Nasional youth chief for Baram, said he defended the green light given by the state for the Baram Dam construction to proceed even though more than 20,000 residents in his constituency would have to be resettled.
