Making of a world class museum

By YU JI

Modern touch: The Sarawak Museum old wing is likely to make way for a five-storey building.

BUILDING works for the new Sarawak Museum began early this month after the final design by Arkitek KDI Sdn Bhd director Datuk Seri John Lau was selected.

The compound of the Tun Abdul Razak Hall has been boarded up after traditional Dayak totem polls were relocated to the Old Museum Wing last week. The RM308mil project is scheduled for completion in 2020.
