KOTA KINABALU: Animals have lesser grounds to walk on with more lands being opened up for development in the state.

A statement from World Wild Fund for nature (WWF) – Malaysia said they depend more and more on protected areas such as parks and wildlife sanctuaries for survival, hence making effective management of these areas increasingly important.
