KUANTAN: Shoppers can look forward to a new exciting retail and dining experience at the newly-renovated East Coast Mall here.
Fresh from the completion of its RM60mil refurbishment initiative, the mall will now bring an even more attractive array of about 200 fashion, lifestyle and food and beverage brands under one roof.
Under the initiative, several improvements were carried out, including reconfiguration of the retail space and common walkway, conversion of car park spaces into additional retail space, expansion of the al fresco dining area and open air car park, as well as revamp of the mall’s interior and facade.
In addition, other amenities such as restrooms, surau and car park were also upgraded.
A special ceremony was held recently to mark the rebranding of the mall and unveiling of its refreshed logo which saw the presence of more than 150 guests and retailers.
The mall is owned by CapitaMalls Malaysia Trust (CMMT).
Its chief executive officer Low Peck Chen said the event marked another key milestone in CMMT’s track record of enhancing unit holder value through continual asset enhancement initiatives.
“The transformation of East Coast Mall into a trendy lifestyle destination mall further unlocks the potential of this well-located asset and will add significant value to the portfolio.
“By keeping our fingers on the pulse of shoppers’ preferences and working closely with our tenants to continually enhance the mall’s offerings, its position as a vibrant retail hub for residents in the east coast will be further strengthened,” she said.
The mall’s centre manager Ronnie Francis said shoppers could look forward to new additions to add more value to their shopping experience.
Francis thanked the public for their patience during the upgrading exercise over the last two years.
“To mark this special occasion, we will be organising a series of exciting events and promotions with our tenants from now until June 7.
“Shoppers who spend a minimum of RM100 will stand a chance to win attractive prices worth up to RM10,000,” he said.
There will also be fashion and F&B voucher redemptions for shoppers who spend a minimum of RM150. while stocks last.
The mall has a net lettable area of 485,396 square feet and some 1,100 car park spaces.
Visitors can shop for the latest high-street fashion and dine in a wide variety of F&B outlets.
Anchored by key tenants Parkson and Aeon Big, other renowned brands include Uniqlo, Guess Jeans, Habib Jewels, Pandora, MAC, Hush Puppies, L’Occitane, Birkenstock, Skechers, Padini Concept Store, Ms Read, Laneige, Toys’R’us and Hour Time.
The mall also houses Golden Screen Cinema, which operates nine screens, including 3D cinema experience.
Diners will be spoilt for choice with the wide selection of popular restaurants and cafes such as The Manhattan Fish Market, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Tappers Cafe. Nando’s, Subway, Sakae Sushi and Starbucks Coffee.
