Labour of love: The Wesley Methodist Church Butterworth new building in Permatang Pauh.

IT was an over 40-year-old dream come true for Wesley Methodist Church Butterworth, when it finally saw its new church building in Jalan Arowana 3, Permatang Pauh, come into fruition.

Having started in 1961 with a handful of members gathering in homes for services and later occupying a shophouse unit in Jalan Pantai, Butterworth, the church had come a long way since its humble beginnings.
