KUCHING: Naim Group of Companies have contributed RM150,000 for the Miri May Fest 2015 in conjunction with Miri’s 10th anniversary celebrations of becoming a city.
This is Naim’s fourth such contribution over the years and the company is the main sponsor of the event.
A mock cheque was handed over by Naim’s project implementation senior manager Abang Mahathir Mohamed to Miri mayor Lawrence Lai, witnessed by Assistant Communications Minister Datuk Lee Kim Shin, during the May Fest launch at Permy Mall here recently.
Naim’s chief operating officer for property Yong Kei Seng said the company was proud to play a part in Miri’s growth over the years.
“Miri was Naim’s birthplace and our foray here started in 1995 when we commenced our Bandar Baru Permyjaya (BBP) township spanning over 3,000 acres of land.
“With its various development zones and modern facilities, BBP township is a popular choice as it caters to different lifestyle needs and levels of affordability,” he said.
He added that BBP offered different types of properties, including a few thousand units of affordable residential properties.
With its current estimated population of more than 80,000, the township is regarded as one of Miri’s fastest growing townships.
Yong also said the contribution was part of Naim’s philosophy of giving back to the community.
“We are grateful for the community’s support throughout the years.
This is our way of saying thank you and we look forward to the community’s continued support in time to come,” he said.
