MALACCA: Listed as a minority community, some 400 local Sikhs joined hands with outstation counterparts and relatives to commemorate Vasakhi with much religious and spiritual fervour at the Gurduwara Sahib Malacca, regarded as one of the country’s holiest shrine situated along the upper reaches of Jalan Temenggong.
The celebrations also witnessed a prior three-day prayer meet involving continuous recital and singing of the Sri Granth Sahib (Sikh holy scriptures) and Kritans (devotional holy verses).
