MIRI: Many Curtin University Sarawak graduates have found success in their careers because of the high quality and holistic education they had received from this world class campus in Miri.
Curtin vice chancellor Prof Deborah Terry said that graduating from a world-recognised university was an asset for any graduate when he entered the working world.
“Curtin University has emerged as number 10 in the world ranking for international outlook.
“Graduates of Curtin should be proud of the fact that we are recognised as among the best in the world in education,” she said at the graduation ceremony for 2014 Faculty of Engineering and Science and Faculty of Business and Humanities over the weekend.
Curtin was now ranked inside the top 2% of universities in the world, she said.
“We have risen more notches in ranking as compared with any other Australian universities,” she added.
Terry urged Curtin graduates to use what they had learned in Curtin Sarawak to make their society a better place.
She said Curtin Sarawak was proud to know that many graduates were now successful in their careers in Sarawak and other places in Malaysia and overseas. – By STEPHEN THEN
