Report finds unit lagging in 96 religious school projects

JOHOR BARU: The Johor Economic Planning Unit (UPEN) was found to be performing below satisfactory standards in monitoring the construction progress of Islamic religious schools in the state.

The Auditor-Generals 2014 report (series 1) found UPEN’s performance to be unsatisfactory and among the reasons highlighted was that the unit allowed one of the projects to be delayed from 167 days up to 912 days compared to its original slated construction period.
