SIBU: Rural folk, especially those depending heavily on rubber and oil palm in Kanowit District, about one hour drive from here, are badly affected by the Goods and Service Tax (GST).

PKR Kanowit Division secretary George Chen told a press conference yesterday that with the drastic drop in the prices of rubber and palm oil, the income of these people would continue to dwindle.
