Drop in forest offences

In session: The ruling and opposition party debating over an issue at the Perak state assembly.

THE number of cases involving forest offences in the state has been reduced following several measures taken by the state.

Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir (BN-Pangkor) said there was a positive result since the state, together with several enforcement agencies and its relevant departments, conducted operations and took initiatives to curb wrongdoings in forests, including illegal logging activities.
