ZOUK Kuala Lumpur raises its international profile even further by breaking into the Top 40 of this year’s DJ Mag annual Top 100 Clubs Global Poll. A leap of 14 places sees the 11-year-old superclub now ranked #38 in the world.
The results were announced last Friday by the UK dance magazine, a bible for global club and electronic dance music culture. This is the first time that Zouk KL has broken into the Top 40 since the multi-venue nightspot made its 2011 debut on the poll. Each year, DJ Mag puts together a list of the cream-of-the-crop nightspots around the world — voted online by users — reflecting what they truly enjoy, as well as the establishment’s popularity on a global scale.
