THE finalists of Tiger Beer’s ‘Celebration of Golden Prosperity’ Chinese New Year campaign literally got cracking at the grand finale.

The 44 contestants cracked open the golden eggs they had chosen at random to find out if they had won either 10gm or 500gm of pure gold.

A total of 10 winners won 500gm gold bars, valued at RM85,000 each.

One of them, 45 year-old Vijayan Muniandy, could not contain his joy.

“I am sharing this with four other friends who were at the restaurant with me when I got the winning bottle cap liner.

“As for my portion, I am planning to donate it to charity,” said Vijayan.

Another winner, Lai San Lian, 51, from Seremban, said he would put the cash from the gold to good use.

“I’m planning to save a big portion of it for my children and the rest, I’ll use to continue supporting Tiger Beer by buying more of its products,” exclaimed the loyal customer of over 30 years.

All 44 winners had won the winning bottle caps by purchasing big bottles of Tiger Beer, Guinness, Heineken or Anchor beverages during the campaign period.

Over the course of the campaign, the brewer gave away RM1.2mil worth of prizes, including 100,000 bottles of Tiger Radler drinks and 800 ang pow containing RM388.

Guinness Anchor Bhd managing director managing director Hans Essaadi said response to the campaign was very encouraging.

“This is our way of reaching out to our consumers and showing appreciation for their continuous support,” he said.
