‘Illegals are humans too’

On the ground: Yii (in white shirt n cap) visiting the site in Kuala Baram where the authorities are demolishing huts set up by illegal migrants.

MIRI: The Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) have appealed to the authorities to deal with the illegal migrants humanely, and not just go around demolishing their houses as many of them had married locals and have many children already.

The Land and Survey Department, the immigration authorities and the local council are going around demolishing huts where certain illegal migrants are living, especially in the fishing settlements in Kuala Baram along the shores of the South China Sea.
