Best and brightest: At Quest International University Perak, youths are nurtured to become inquisitive and socially aware.

A YOUNG and dynamic institution, Quest International University Perak (QIUP) aims to nurture the next generation.

With equity participation from the Perak government, the university deploys the best intellectual minds in its noble quest to provide the best education to all levels of society.

Its foundation programmes are a great way for students to develop practical and academic skills after their SPM, and set them on their higher education journey.

The Business and Science subjects are practical and real-world focused.

Students will get valuable hands-on experience to gain confidence, skills and knowledge to excel in tertiary studies.

One can then pursue QIUP’s Diploma or Degree programmes. At Diploma level, there are courses in Hotel Management, Business Management, Tourism Management and Accountancy.

At Degree level, there are the Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Biotechnology, Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) Electronics and Communications Engineering, Bachelor of Computer Science, Bachelor of Arts (Hons) TESL, Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons), and Bachelor of Finance (Hons).

These are offered under QIUP’s Centre for Foundation Studies, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Integrative Sciences and Technology, and Faculty of Business, Management and Social Sciences at its interim campus in Ipoh.

The university’s location away from the distractions of bustling city life provides a conducive learning environment.

Lower living costs also lighten the financial burden.

QIUP has attracted some of the nation’s best academicians, who are passionate, industry-savvy and highly acclaimed.

Their vast knowledge, experiences and network benefit students tremendously.

The university believes in developing outstanding, all-rounded graduates who not only excel in their studies, but also actively participate in conferences and educational competitions.

Notable examples include a project paper done by first-year medical undergraduates.

It was selected to be presented at the 3rd International Public Health Conference and 20th National Public Health Colloquium in Kuching, Sarawak, in 2013.

The paper, titled ‘Prevalence of Hyper-tension and its risks factors in an Orang Asli community in Perak, Malaysia’, was the only one prepared by undergraduates among those chosen.

In addition, four Bachelor of Computer Science undergraduates were crowned champions at the IBM Mobilithon 2013 national level competition.

The team also came in third at the UTP-HAX National Hacking contest, and won a consolation prize at the Moto Innocup Competition.

Those who want to reach their full potential and who aspire to a rich student life, complete with the opportunity to interact with the best academicians, should find QIUP an excellent choice.
