KOTA KINABALU: Bank Rakyat is considering a proposal to create the Rakyat Mini Excess Bank in Ranau district about 100km from here for the convenience of residents in the area.
The bank’s Sabah Region chief Norahim Buang said the proposal was being looked into as many customers from Ranau had to go to the neighbouring Kota Belud district, which was about 70km away, or to Kota Kinabalu to carry out banking transactions.
