JOHOR BARU: Tourism and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz pledged to direct the cultural department to give full cooperation to ensure that the state's annual Chingay procession achieves Unesco's world cultural heritage status.
He understood that efforts have been taken to apply for the status and promised to include the event in the national tourism calendar beginning next year.
