There are plans to turn the abandon equine facilities at Taman Seri Andalas in Klang into an outdoor wedding park.
It was estimated to cost Klang Municipal Council’s between RM800,000 to a RM1 million to transform the site.
Klang councillor Kamal Batcha Noor Mohideen said couples could rent the park to hold their weddings.
"This will benefit residents and at the same time earn revenue for the council,” he said.
The council manages 19 public halls and charges between RM1,400 and RM1,600 for using such premises from four to six hours.
In 2008, the council closed down its horse unit set up under the Enforcement Department at the park because it was too costly to pay RM600,000 for the maintenance of eight horses and 18 staff annually.
