KUANTAN: The number “9” dominated an extravagant open house organised by Pahang Malaysia Crime Prevention Foundation (MCPF) chairman Datuk Seri Johny Ch’ng to celebrate Chinese New Year and the Jade Emperor’s birthday.
With 99 lion dancers and 999 sugar canes and other offerings for the deity, the event saw thousands of guests thronging Ch’ng’s house in Kubang Buaya here to partake in the festivities.
