Selangor Fire and Rescue Department takes proactive approach to tackle bushfires

THE Selangor Fire and Rescue Department is taking a more proactive strategy this year in combating fire outbreaks, bearing in mind last year’s peat fires and the predictions for March to be an especially dry month.

State director Othman Abdullah said there would be Fire and Rescue teams roving with personnel from other state bodies and agencies, such as local government authorities as well as the Forestry Department.
