THE MCA Youth Education Development Bureau and its Penang counterpart are organising two ‘Further Education Counselling’ seminars for students who have completed their STPM and SPM examina-tions.
Penang MCA Youth chief Michael Lee said the first session would be held at SMK Tunku Abdul Rahman, Nibong Tebal, on Saturday from 10am to noon.
The second seminar will be held at Wisma MCA in Transfer Road from 8pm to 10pm on March 20.
“The free seminars are meant to help school leavers choose their courses and universities.
“They will be given tips on how to get the courses of their choice and also their favoured universities. The seminars are free,” he said during a press conference yesterday.
Lee said party members would send out flyers about the seminars to several secondary schools after the STPM results were released.
Penang MCA Youth vice-chairman Khor Mei Lee, who is also the state education development bureau chief, said school leavers and their parents were invited to attend.
“Our first seminar in Nibong Tebal can accommodate up to 200 participants while the second can take in 300.
“We will also present information related to higher education such as study loans and scholarships during the two-hour seminars,” she said.
