Ministry act on complaints of indiscriminate price hike on essential goods


JOHOR BARU: The domestic trade and cooperatives and consumerism ministry has carried out checks at over 14,698 premises and shops state-wide within the last three weeks.

State Tourism, Trade and Consumer Affairs committee chairman Datuk Tee Siew Kiong said that a total of RM2,961 worth of items have been seized while another RM21,250 worth of compounds have been issued under its anti-profiteering operations (Ops Catut).
