TEMERLOH: Alloy MTD Group organised a post-flood visit to distribute basic necessities to residents affected by the recent floods. The delegation was led by Anih Berhad assistant vice president Saberi Wan Salleh and 30 staff of the group.
They arrived at Kampung Bintang which was one of the badly affected villages and met up with the residents and representatives of the village security and development committee.
Saberi said the items were contributed by the staff during a week-long donation campaign held at its headquarters in Kuala Lumpur.
He said they visited the villagers from house to house to give out the items comprising food stuff, kitchen and washing utensils, blankets and pillows as well as school stationeries for students.
“We are aware of their difficulties in rebuilding their lives and decided to do our part,” he said, adding that the initiative was part of its corporate social responsibility for the needy in the society.
Saberi said the exercise could also foster closer ties with the people and instil a sense of caring and sharing in times of need.
He said the company would continue with such efforts and had earlier assisted other villages such as Kampung Baru Bintang, Kampung Sanggang and Kampung Sanggang Seberang in cleaning up and gotong-royong activities.
