TAMAN Lip Sin residents in Penang ushered in the Year of the Goat early with a lion dance and stage show, thanks to the Tiger Beer Chinese New Year 2015 roving activity.
Held at the Super Tanker Food Court on Thursday, the event was part of the Guinness Anchor Berhad (GAB) nationwide road show campaign in conjunction with the lunar new year.
Bringing a rousing start to the celebration was a vibrant lion dance performance. After the lion dance performance, patrons took part in the auspicious Lou Sang activity.
Also present were GAB regional sales manager (northern) Kenny Khoo, GAB assistant channel manager Callista Fernandez and The Star senior regional manager (operations) David Yeoh.
Those who bought three big bottles of Tiger Beer, Guinness, Heineken or Anchor during the event were given a lucky draw voucher.
Fifteen of them were picked as winners later and they broke open a golden egg each to reveal their prizes.
The top three winners received a gold plated set of three Chinese deities of Fu, Lu and Shou, worth RM1,000 each.
The other 12 winners took home cash prizes or a carton of beer each.
As part of the nationwide campaign, a special ‘Celebration of Golden Prosperity’ promotion is being held until Feb 28.
During the promotion which began on Jan 5, those who buy any big bottle of Tiger Beer, Guinness, Heineken or Anchor could be in the running to win one of the 100 gold bars of either 10gm or 500gm in weight.
Other exciting prizes include 100,000 bottles of Tiger Radler and 888 ang pow packets filled with RM388.
