FIFTY residents of House of Hope & Light, Kajang were treated to an early Lunar New Year celebration by the Sungei Wang Plaza Management together with Merchants Association and Hair Zone Studio by Michael Poh, recently.
The visit which was organised by the shopping centre’s team was part of the mall’s corporate social responsibility effort in reaching out to the underprivileged.
Complex manager K.C. Choong said, “It is truly an experience for the team to visit the home as we wanted to spread the lunar new year cheer to the residents.
“We hope our presence has brought happiness and smiles to the residents as we welcome another new year”.
The charity visit started with a lion dance performance followed by distribution of ang pow packets and oranges to the residents.
Lunch was also catered for the event and residents were given a haircut each by the students of Hair Zone Studio.
