AmMetLife Insurance Berhad and AmMetLife Takaful Berhad have provided essential items to schoolchildren who were recently affected by the floods in Tumpat and Kota Baru in Kelantan.

AmMetLife chief executive officer Ramzi Toubassy and AmMetLife Takaful chief executive officer Wan Zamri Wan Zain distributed school bags and stationery to pupils from SK Pangkal Kalong, Kok Lanas in Kota Baru and SK Kampung Laut in Tumpat.

“After witnessing the devastating state of the communities in the flood-hit districts, we were compelled to lend a helping hand. We are determined to help all Malaysians live confidently today and be ready for tomorrow,” said Toubassy.

Wan Zamri added: “The new schooling year marks an important time for schoolgoing children and their parents. As most of their belongings were destroyed, we were happy to be able to help the students to be ready and motivated for the beginning of their school term.”

Toubassy and Wan Zamri presented the company’s contributions at the respective schools together with AmBank Group’s senior vice-president and group corporate communications and marketing head Syed Anuar Syed Ali as well as AmMetLife’s chief agency officer Tai Chee Ming and chief marketing officer Kam Lee Lan.
