SHAKLEE Malaysia has donated RM1.1mil worth of meal shakes to help those affected by floods in the east coast states through the MyKasih Foundation.

The 10,000 canisters of meal shakes was the second donation made by Shaklee Malaysia, bringing its total donation to RM3.4mil.

The company had earlier donated 20,000 canisters of meal shakes worth RM2.3mil to the Malaysian Red Crescent Society.

“We are committed to assisting those facing crises,” said Shaklee Products (M) Sdn Bhd president Victor Lim.

He added that many families were facing a shortage of food and clean water.

“Some of them, especially children, might face malnutrition and health issues as a result.

“We are hoping that the meal shakes will help provide the right nutrition to flood victims, especially children, and provide them with much needed energy as the families try to put their lives back together again.

“lt is truly inspiring to see all Malaysians come together to support the flood victims.

“I hope all Malaysians will step up and help in whatever way possible,” said Lim.

He officially handed over the donation to MyKasih Foundation chairman and co-founder Tan Sri Dr Ngau Boon Keat at its office recently.
