Keeping to the theme: The shopping centre’s concourse is dotted with colourful and fluffy sheep.

SUNWAY Pyramid is organising a host of activities to “herd” shoppers during the Year of the Sheep with the theme, ‘Cheery Woolly Spring’.

The mall’s concourse is dotted with colourful and fluffy sheep gathered in an open field to greet the coming of spring while cherry blossoms and colourful yarn baubles glow from above.

Complementing the theme are strings of multi-coloured yarn intricately woven through fences and huts.

“The celebration of Chinese New Year denotes new hope and aspirations.

“This new year, we decided to play with colours as it signifies the diverse society in our country,” said Sunway Shopping Malls chief operating officer Kevin Tan Gar Peng.

Sunway Pyramid senior marketing manager Loo Hoey Theen said in the past, the shopping centre focused its efforts on attracting shoppers through performances during festive seasons.

However, shoppers now enjoy taking selfies and group shots.

“To keep up with this trend, our festive decorations give shoppers many photography angles so that they can snap pictures and bring the memories home.”

Shoppers who use their HSBC credit card for expenses of RM250 or RM150 in one receipt can redeem a set of limited-edition All Season Prosperity Ang Pow.

Those who spend RM1,000 or RM800 using their HSBC credit card in three receipts, can redeem exclusive huggable Fluffs of Joy Sheep Pillow Pets that are available in five candy colours.

Shoppers can also make use of the shopping centre’s free Porter Boy & Buggy Services from 11am to 11pm from now until Feb 18 to help them transport items to their vehicles.

They can also enjoy the beautiful blossoms at the Spring Flower Market, at the LG2 Blue Concourse. An artisan florist from Fleurs is on hand to share some tips with them.
